Christmas Eve

Christmas eve we put the girls cute new Christmas PJs and slippers on them and went to my parents for some pizza.  The girls looked so darn cute.  I made these fleece old fashioned hats for them.  I was so excited to get home and set up for Christmas morning. 

Growing up we always had a present unwrapped in the living room, so when we came in, we got to see one present.  So I have been doing it as well.  Vi came down to the Little People Disney Princess castle all set up and Annabelle got a Vtech ride-on toy (which by the way, we found for $6 at goodwill and its like brand new!)

 I made a plate for Santa with some vinyl I bought on a daily deals site and a dollar store plate.  Vi set out some goodies and milk.  She was actually pretty excited about it.  She has been asking daily if its Christmas and about Santa.

Christmas Eve Eve

Sunday, Christmas eve eve, we I dressed the girls up all cute for church.  They looked like candy canes.  That night we had a Christmas dinner with Justin's family at our house.  Turkey and all the fixings.  Vi had a blast hanging with her second cousin Kendal, who is 2 as well.  We really enjoyed seeing everyone and enjoying the Christmas spirit.

Oh Vi!

Violet is growing up so fast.  Daily she says stuff that shocks me.  She is pretty hilarious.  I wish I wrote down everything she says because I'm terrible at remembering it all and it would be great to look back on.

Her favorite thing to say right now is "I'm a big girl now".  She says it for everything.  Anytime I want to help her thats her retort.  She even says "Daddy's a big girl boy"  haaaaa.  

She also loves to say "thats MY Mommy" or thats MY sissy".  And she loves to tell that to everyone, including strangers.  She's got quite the 'tude.

The other day I had Justin on speaker phone and told her to say hi to him.  She got an attitude and crossed her arms across her chest and turned her back to me.  I couldn't believe it.  Already acting like a grumpy teen!

She now knows all her friends names and asks about them all the time.  She also has a sense of where we are when we drive places.  Like she knows were near Mimi's house or Grandma's house.  Or church or the gym.  

She says full on sentences and is starting to repeat everything!  Now we gotta be careful what we say!  She LOVES all the Toy Story movies and wants to watch them about 4 times a day.  Time for another movie to be added to the mix.  

She also spends countless hours a day carrying Penny around.  She pretty much tortures her.  She screams and throws a tantrum whenever Penny gets away from her.  Its kinda exhausting and I feel bad for Pen.  She usually makes her sit in the walker or the baby jumper.  

She still runs around outside despite the cold or rain.  And 99% of the time naked.  She goes out with clothes, jacket and all.. and comes back completely naked.  And usually covered in mud.

She's super excited for Santa and loves to say "Ho Ho Ho, Merry Christmas".  Not gonna lie, I am SUPER excited for Christmas this year with her.
