These Boots Were Made for Walkin'
Violet loves to put on Justin and I's shoes. We have a basket by the back door for rain boots and such. Look at our little monkey...
Boot Socks
I'm sure you have seen all the cute boot socks on Pinterest lately. I knew I had to have some. I bought some leg warmers at Target and added some cream crochet lace and buttons to the top. Easy and oh so cute. I want to go to goodwill and pick up some sweaters to cut the sleeves off and make them with those. How cute would that be?
I'll spare you a picture of my puffy bloated tree stumps sporting these. I am thinking about wearing them for family pics when we do the newborn pics tho. Maybe with some brown boots?

Valentines Day
Violet currently has a double ear infection (yes like her 20th this year) and bronchitis so we layed low for Valentines Day. I was pretty excited for V to open her cute little Valentine Mailbox and get her treats. I was also beyond excited to dress the girls up. Justin and I hope to go out to dinner this Saturday to celebrate it. Ruth Chris here I come.
She made her own candy soup |

Valentines Outfits and Craft
I wanted to share the adorable Valentines Day mailboxes I made for the girls. I saw the idea on Pinterest and I'm sure a bunch of you on there are doing it too. Mailboxes are from the dollar section of Target, candle sticks are from the dollar store and vinyl is from Etsy. They are pretty small and don't hold much but I guess I put anything that won't fit next to it. And yes I realize Baby A will only be like a week old if that and probably doesn't need one. How cute are these?
I even bought a couple extra for more children we may have. Another reason I'm a nut right? Buying stuff for kids I don't even have.
Violet already has a cute dress for Valentines day I got second hand off Ebay so I just need to make her some red ruffle tights. For Annabelle I made her this adorable painted onesie. So loving how it turned out. I need to make her red ruffle tights as well. I will probably throw a pink tutu on her with it.
So cute right? And of course, matching burned flowers for the girls heads. I am loving these flowers right now. Burned tulle is awesome, so vintagey looking. I made them on clips instead of attaching them straight to a headband since I loved them so much. They would be cute clipped on a scarf or dress or hat as well.
I spray painted the glass candlesticks and simply hot glued them to the boxes. |

Last Minute Projects
Wanted to share some last minute projects for princess #2. I am pretty happy that I got everything done I had planned to except the bloomer/headband set for her newborn pics. Guess I will be sewing that first week shes here!
I crocheted this little womb/pea pod thingy for some of her newborn pics. I should rephrase that... I actually crochet all my hats and stuff like this on a loom, you may have seen the knifty knitter? So I guess you could say its not really crocheting. I can only crochet a simple chain off the loom. I love the way it turned out! I added a brown velvet ribbon as well.
I bought this hot pink onesie at Babies RUs on clearance for like 3 bucks and added some pizazz. I sewed on some ruffled black tulle and this super cute hand stamped trim I bought on etsy. Lastly I added 3 frayed fabric rosettes. How cute is it now? Love it. Perfect with some black legwarmers.
Baby Update: Tomorrow morning I go to the dr to schedule my induction for this week. Hoping she will have me come back tomorrow night for it. Last Thursday I had an ultrasound to see how big she is... I am terrified to say the least. They're thinkin' 8 lbs 7 oz. Giant. Plus she has a huge head. Her head is measuring like 41 weeks and I was only 38 weeks at the ultrasound. Criminy.

I bought these cheap onesies from Walmart and took them to a embroidery shop I recently found to get them personalized. Then I just sewed on some cute chiffon rosette trim to the collars.
I sewed this adorable car seat cover using moda and robert kaufmann fabrics. Love the bright pastels. I made some burned flowers and attached them to alligator clips for the velcro straps. That way I can take them off to wash the cover or if I want to use the cute flowers for something else I can.
This is one of my favorite projects I did. Blinged out binkies. I found a great wholesale supplier online for swarvoski crystals and added some sparkle to a few binkies. Hopin' she actually will take one unlike V.
has an "A" if you can't tell |
These are matching H&M onesies I added trim and bows too.
And lastly, here are some cute hats I made for the sweet pea...
this one is for the hospital, its my fav |
