(TOTALLY OFF TOPIC BUT V HAS BEEN GETTING BETTER AND BETTER AT WALKING! SHE TOOK 7 STEPS IN A ROW YESTERDAY! FAST LEARNER!)
This is my favorite I think. I bought a plain tank online for like $6 from a t-shirt wholesaler and created a whole outfit around it. I used a knit butterfly fabric for most of it (t-shirt material) which I love since it doesn't fray so I don't have to hem it. It was only like $4 at Beverly's fabrics. I added some ruffles to the top and made a pair of bloomers with matching ruffles and pink crocheted lace. And of course a matching butterfly headband. The only problem was that I used a pattern for the bloomers for size 12-18 mo. The leg holes were cutting off her circulation. Rats. So today I will be fixing that. V's ham hocks are more size 4T I think.
I bought this tank at Walmart for $4. Added some crochet lace, gray knit fabric and a little trim. Complete with matching leg warmers.
This top and skort were $4 each at Target. I love the idea of what I did but not loving the colors too much. I have a hard time putting anything but purple and pink on her. Ridiculous I know. I just love the girly girly stuff (like you didn't know this). But I need to try new things so V will wear it. Needs a headband first though. Basically all I did was ruffle some knit fabric and sew it straight to the top to create the flowers. Then I ruffled some satin ribbon and sewed it on with some leaves. Easy peasy. And I only sewed the front and back of the shirt together once. That's improvement.
This was a ballerina dress I bought at Old Navy. A little too plain for me. Added some felt flowers I bought on etsy, rhinestone buttons and a hot pink bow. Much more my, I mean Violet's, style. he he.
LOVE the first outfit,WAY cute!
