Mother's Day

I dressed the girls up all cute for Mother's Day. I added some rosettes to these adorable yellow petti rompers. They looked like two chubby balls of fluff. We had a low key day, went to church, and then dinner at my parents house. I feel so blessed to be a mother to these two beauties!

I couldn't get a pic with Vi not crying!

I gave my mom and mother in law these cute printables in frames I found on pinterest.

Red White and Blue

Summertime means lots of red, white and blue!  I love it!  That's actually going to be the theme for Vi's 2nd Bday Party.  Here's my sweets being patriotic!

You know how I like to buy cheap outfits and make them cuter?  Well that's what I did here.  I bought V's romper at Target and it originally had a small neon bow in the middle.  I love me some neon but I love the r,w,b thing more.  I added 3 red rosettes to the waist instead.  A's skirt is Target also, I think it was like $4 or so.  I added cherry print bias tape to the bottom and rosettes to the side pockets.  Then I took a white onesie I had onhand and added ruffled rows of the bias tape to that as well.  All super easy and it makes it so much cuter!

This one is blurry but I couldn't leave it out.. those darn headlocks.

Just Like Mommy

V got a new carseat for her babies from Mimi.  She strapped her baby in and then put her in her car... how smart is she?

Annabelle

Annabelle is growing so quickly!  She is getting quite chubby finally.  She will catch up to V in no time.   She adores Vi and watches her like crazy.  She is def. not an easy baby by any means.  She cries alot.  She cries every single time she has to go in her carseat and go in the car.  EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.  It gives me anxiety like no other.  She will scream so hard she like coughs and chokes.  I hate having to take her anywhere.  Luckily it doesn't phase V, she pretty much ignores it.

Annabelle's tummy seems to have gotten worse lately.  We just upped her prevacid medicine to a full 15mg daily. Unfortunately the pharmacy has been out of generic for months so it costs about $62 a month for it. We just got a new prescription of zantac to try since its only like $7 a month. Hopefully something will work here soon.  She has trouble eating still, nearly every time I feed her.  She cries and sometimes refuses to eat for almost full days.  It's rough.

She has good and bad nights, sometimes only waking twice, sometimes keeping me up the whole night. She wakes up around 530am for the day usually so I try to go to bed early.  She only really takes catnaps now during the day which I hate.  I get nothing done.  I can't wait for her to nap on a schedule, hopefully in the next few months.

She wears me out but she sure is a sweet baby.  She has the best smile and likes to talk alot.  And her reddish hair is kinda growing on me.  It's pretty darn cute.

V Being V

Here is our crazy girl eating an onion like an apple.  Wierd.  She loves raw onions.  She knows how to open the fridge now and just goes and gets things out.  Not liking it.

One of her new favorite foods is microwave popcorn. The girl will eat the whole bag.

And here's the little turd putting butt cream all over herself.  Not sure why she is obsessed with this stuff.

A letter to my Wife...I would do it all over again

Dear Rachel,

Life can get a bit crazy at times.  Getting pulled one way by society today and then in the opposite direction tomorrow…sometimes it can be hard to discern through the noise what the Truth really is.
The noise forces us to often make emotional decisions on a whim, not knowing whether or not they will pan out, but making them regardless…hoping that it all will.

This is Life, complicated to the core, but through it all, there was one decision I made that was never distracted by these emotions.  The decision three years ago to look in to your eyes as you stood across from me and say “I Do” was never prone to the noise.  Why this was the case, I don’t know, and I don’t care…I just know it was right.  When God places a blessing in to your hand, you close it with full Faith knowing that it’s the Truth and walk off towards the horizon with it.

I’m glad that I made that decision, with you by my side, Life has order.  You have taught me how to Love, how to forgive, how to empathize, how to work hard, how to persevere, how to be loyal…how to live.
You have taught me how to be a friend, how to be a Husband, how to be a Father…how to be a positive light in this World.

You have blessed me with two beautiful daughters, a family who brings more Joy than I could have ever imagined.  You have stood hand in hand by my side, patient, fully believing in Us as we progress on this journey together.

Rachel, you are an amazing person, an amazing soul…I am so lucky to have you in my Life.  There’s no way I could ever fully express my true gratitude for the friend that you are, the Wife that you are, the Mother that you are.  But know this, I will continue to love you, I will be the friend that you can always lean on, the Husband you can always turn to, and the Father you can always rely on.  Our decisions last a lifetime, this one will last an eternity.  I look forward to a life full of mornings waking up next to you, sharing once in a lifetime experiences, and loving each other passionately through it all.

I love you.

Justin

A's Besties

Two of my good girl friends had babies in December so they are close in age to Annabelle.  Future besties is what they'll be!

3rd Anniversary

Justin and I just celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary.  3 years married and 7 years together.  Kinda cool because 3 is my favorite number and 7 is Justins.  He took the day off to hang out with me and the girls.  Our favorite thing to do is take V to Mahany Park in Roseville, so after stuffed french toast made by my honey we were off to the park!

of course we needed to match

I have since learned that wearing cute nice clothes to the park is not a good idea.  Everytime Vi gets dirt and sand all over her.

That evening my mom watched the girls so J and I could go to a nice dinner at McCormicks and Schmicks.  Their seafood is the best ever!  After that we walked around the Fountains.  Getting a little alone time was awesome.  My mom snapped these cute pics of the girls...

My favorite picture ever of A
What an awesome day to start off our 4th year of marriage!

-oh and I wanted to share an awesome new website where you can make personalized cards.  I made one for J for the Anni. and some for Mothers Day.  Its actually cheaper than store bought cards and you can add names and pictures to them!  Check it out, www.treat.com .

Crib Fun

Annabelle already adores Vi.  Its so cute. She gets a huge grin when she sees Violet.  I put her in the crib with her the other day and they had a blast.

reading her a story, such a good big sis

covering her with a blankie

so cute to see them hanging in their room

And I wanted to show the only two things I had to change in their room.  It was awesome that I didn't have to redo anything!

this used to have a painted wooden V in it so instead I bought this cute vinyl on Etsy

had to change the Violet Alice to both names- love the font!

Oh and our sweet A turned 3 months yesterday!  Getting so big!
