Violet and Trixie

Violet and one of our yorkies Trixie have become pals.  Violet loves to grab a ball or one of Trixie's toys and play tug-a-war with her.  Trixie jumps on her and tries to get it while V laughs the whole time.  It's too cute.  Trix still runs away when V tries to pet or grab her but were making progress.  We are teaching her to pet the doggies softly in hopes of preparing her for Annabelle.

Creating a Printable in Picnik

I wanted to share this rad thing you can do in Picnik photo editing.  If you haven't used Picnik, you MUST try it out. Have you seen all those cute printables on craft blogs and for sale on Etsy? Like these?

There is all kinds of cute inspirational and holiday printables great for framing or decoupaging our just to hang on your fridge!  Sometimes they are free on craft blogs but lots of times they can cost you, and some, a pretty penny.

Did you know you can create your own, for free?  Ok, so I will spare you and not try to explain it myself and let you learn the way I did.  I went over to http://iammommahearmeroar.blogspot.com/2011/01/how-to-create-your-own-printables-using.html and learned how to create my very own printables!

Ok so I saw this one on Etsy at Mod Momento and LOVED the idea of it.  I didn't however love the price!

Don't you love how its just a bunch of words and phrases about you and your honey?  Like only you two would understand it?  And I love the to be continued at the end.  This cute printable cost about $40 if I recall.  Not really in my budget.  So I went on over to Picnik and made my own.  And let me tell ya, it was fun to create and mine actually looks exactly the same as hers.  Same font and everything.  These would be awesome wedding gifts or a great gift for your hubby.  Mine is hanging in my bedroom for me and my hunny to enjoy!

hard to get with the glare.

Looks pretty much the same right? My margins are not as perfect as hers but hey, for free, I'll take it! Love it!  Already need to update it though with Annabelle's name.

So try it out, it's kinda addicting.  Especially with all the holidays coming up.  Wouldn't a Halloween or Fall one be cute on your front porch right about now?

New Mom Mobile

Can I get a heck yes?  No more tiny BMW!  I finally got a Family Wagon/Mom Mobile and I love it!  Now that we have #2 on the way we knew it was time to go big.  My car trunk is so small I can barely fit a stroller in there and then I have to pile the groceries around Violet in the car seat.  A big pain in my booty!  So take a glimpse at my new ride... a 2006 Land Rover with all the bells and whistles (I was adamant about a dvd player for V, she is NOT a good car rider).  Next on the list is to get a navigation put in since I am possibly the worst at directions and finding places.  (Jill- I still have to write down directions to get to your house after being there a dozen times... he he)

I'm in Love!

And yes my RLHSEWF license plates will be on there shortly.  Check back in a few weeks to see how I blingify my new ride.  It involves swarvoski crystals.  I like sparkly.

What I'm Lovin' Right Now

{I would like to apologize first for being such a crappy blogger lately.  We were recently really sick for about a month and now two weeks later, its back.  Or something very similar.  Right now just V and I are suffering so hopefully J won't get it again.  He was so congested he got a sinus infection and couldn't hear out of one ear for about 3 weeks.  Brutal.  I'm sure hoping this is the end of being sick for this year for us.  I feel like this whole pregnancy has been completely miserable (not that it is enjoyable anyhow).  So, keep us in your prayers that we we be healthy once again!}

Ok, now the fun stuff.  What am I loving right now?  Let me tell ya...

I'm loving fabric tape!  You can find it on etsy but I like to get it on www.cutetape.com .  You can make things with it, add it to home decor, make stationary, so many things!  I haven't experimented with it too much yet but here are two things I have done:

added it to a family picture in my bedroom, just stuck it right to the mat.

yellow gingham was exactly what this front porch plaque needed.

Here my collection so far--

I am sooo loving these glitter binders, folders and notebooks I got at Safeway!  Can you believe it? Safeway?  You are never too old for glitter.  Although, the checker asked me if I was in college and I replied Nope!  These are just for fun.  I like to organize my sewing patterns and tutorials in binders.  And for years I have pulled pages out of my home decor magazines and put them in plastic protectors in binders as well.  So there you go! Not just for students.

I am in love with this handmade crocheted blanket I got at Salvation Army.  I know, I know, some of you say icky, gross, it's used.  It totally looks brand new and probably some nice old lady made it and never used it.  And YES I washed it.  The turquoise, cream and white are a great color combo and anything handmade has me drooling!

I'm loving and probably over consuming the Crystal Light individual lemonade packets you put in water bottles.  Hello, how did I just now try these?  They taste like homemade lemonade and they have no sugar and like 2 carbs or something.  Um, yes please!

I am loving, so so loving, the garden veggies a wonderful girlfriend gave me, especially the tomatoes.  I am a tomato whore.  Can I say that?  Well, seriously, I eat about two a day.  Slice em' up with a ton of salt and i am in heaven.  Next year I WILL have a veggie garden.  ( Right, and I'll have the whole house decorated, sew a full wardrobe for V and Annabelle and start my Etsy again.... ha)

What are you loving right now?

Fountain Fun

A month or two ago Ia little behind) we went to the Fountains (for those that don't live here its a big, really nice outdoor shopping center with great restaurants and shops).  We ate lunch at Boudins, which has the BEST grilled cheese and tomato soup in the world!  I am hooked.  Then we took V over to the kiddie fountain play area.  All these shoots of water come up out of the ground and different times and the kids run and play in the them.  She absolutely loved it.  I think I had more fun just watching her!

(Since this outing we have been back to play in the fountains and V got completely drenched... not just a little wet.. soaked head to toe. And being the white trash mom that I am I had to push her in the stroller to the car in just a diaper.  One day I'll learn to bring extra clothes.. and even a towel.)

My Little Cheerleader

As you know, we are huge Nebraska Cornhusker fans.  Last year I made V a onesie, this year her cheerleading dress from Grandma Ruth finally fit!  How stinkin' cute does she look?  Now I just need to get her some pom poms.  (and if your wondering where her matching headband is, I didn't even bother.  She won't wear them anymore.  Rats.  Good thing another little girl is on the way!)

and no she is not that into the football game, cartoons were on.

Go Big Red!

You Call Her Violet...

I call her DESTRUCTO!

Yes she hoards pots and pans

You can always find dog food scattered about the whole house

Please say some of your houses look like this! Am I the only one?

She also loves to hide behind the couch.  You can find all kinds of toys and random items back there...
